Hawaiian Airlines Looking for Revenue Accounting Director



Hawaiian Airlines is looking for a Revenue Accounting Director.

The level of this position will be determined by the candidate skill set for Director or Sr. Director.

1. Serves as overall supervisor responsible for making proper decisions as to department structure, responsibilities, policies and procedures, and work assignments as they relate to revenue accounting. 2. Maintains the Company's financial records and general and subsidiary ledgers with relation to revenue accounting functions, including sales audit, revenue audit, cargo/interline audit, refunds, online/interline pricing, statistics and scanner in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements and related approved practices and procedures. This includes coordination of schedules and analyses to be prepared by the Revenue Accounting Department for the annual audit and implementation of new accounting pronouncements. 3. Prepares financial statements and other reports required by the Board of Directors, Senior Management, Securities and Exchange Commission and Stockholders and Federal and State agencies, including the Department of Transportation in consideration of established time deadlines. 4. Responsible for coordination and receipt of information from various departments, including Corporate Planning, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing and Reservations, Hawaiian Miles and Schedule Planning. Also responsible for coordination and implementation of new operating agreements that affect Revenue Accounting, such as establishing accounting policies and general ledger accounts, reporting procedures, coordination of new systems and or changes to existing systems and training. 5. Possesses a full understanding of procedures and processes of all revenue accounting sections and is responsible for overall process reengineering, review and evaluation of policies and general efficiency of processing of entire revenue accounting department 6. Lead, coach and manager others 7. Administers provisions of the IAM bargaining unit contract between the Company and contract personnel. Handles higher step grievances and attempts to settle misunderstandings between the Company and contract personnel.
