Sandwich Isles Communications Hiring Help Desk Technician

Sandwich Isles Communications, Inc. is now accepting resumes for the position of Help Desk Technician.

Position Summary:

The Help Desk Technicians primary responsibility will be to assist Sandwich Isles Wireless (SIW) customers in support of wireless handsets and applications. The Help Desk Technician also has the lead responsibility for management of all network related troubles and escalations with Sprint, Sandwich Isles Communications (SIC) Service Provisioning, and SIC NOC teams. In addition to supporting all of SIW customers the Help desk Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting all internal end user computer equipment and technology used by staff (PC, laptops, printers, copiers, AV equipment, desktop software applications, etc.). The assignment, status updates and resolution will take place through the Help Desk ticketing system. The successful candidate has a proven track record of working independently to meet time sensitive deadlines, is committed to SIC's mission as a rural telephone company service provider, adheres to company policy, works well with others and is a motivated, self-starter who can work on multiple tasks and priorities within a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or certified network administrator (CCNA, MCSE). A+, Network+ Certification.
• Four years relevant work experience. Extensive experience supporting MS Outlook and Exchange.
• Strong 1st call resolution skills
• Extensive working knowledge of cellular devices and applications
• Extensive working knowledge of PC/Laptop hardware support
• Knowledge of Symantec PC antivirus security software/malware issues
• Demonstrated knowledge of Windows XP, Vista 7, Microsoft Office, proficient in Dell Laptop/Desktop Hardware support
• Knowledge of Cisco Routing/Switching/Firewall a plus

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee reference check, criminal background check and five year motor vehicle history check. Must have a valid driver's license at the time of hire.
