Alaska Sport-fishing Lodge Assistant for Summer 2009 (Relocate to Alaska May 20-Sept 13)




Alaska Sport-fishing Lodge now hiring a LODGE ASSISTANT for the 2009 Summer Season

EMPLOYMENT PERIOD: On or about May 20 through Sept.13, 2009.

WORK SITE: Juneau, Alaska.

DUTIES
*Operation of 17’ aluminum work skiff with 40 hp outboard motor.
*Operation of one-man kayak to retrieve skiff, which is anchored off shore.
*Responsible for weekly fuel runs to local marina (5 miles by skiff).
*Responsible for grounds maintenance.
*Responsible for daily kitchen duties such as rubbish and garbage disposal, dishes, and lodge clean up.
*Assist with daily fish processing and weekly assembly of fish boxes.
*Assist lodge mechanic in facility maintenance and repairs.
*Maintain lodge rain gear/boots and shoreline fishing tackle.
*Miscellaneous duties related to lodge operation as needed.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
*DOE + Tips. Company is required to withhold applicable Federal taxes on monthly salary.
*Room & Board provided by company. Private room with shared bathroom/shower facilities.
*Covered for work related injuries/illnesses under worker’s compensation.
*Unemployment insurance.
*Employees reimbursed for travel expenses upon completion of contract.

REQUIREMENTS
*Good health and able to lift 70# fish boxes.
*Must enjoy working in an outdoor environment.
*Able to conduct routine daily tasks with limited or no supervision.
*Enjoy entertaining people and able to get along with fellow workers in a remote setting.
*Must submit results of NIDA-approved pre-employment drug screen urinalysis prior to employment. Results of drug screen must indicate no use of dangerous drugs.
